Basic safety training for deckhand

Objective
This course has been designed to meet the minimum requirements for the certification of deckhand. Those who succesfully complete this course can receive a EU-certified service recordbook with the certification of “deckhand”. Attention: After completing the course, in order to apply for the service recordbook a medical certificate (max 3 months old) is needed.

1. Use of PPM in order to prevent drowning
2. Introduction to the specific working conditions on board a vessel
3. Firefighting on board
4. Riscs on board
5. Handling hazardous substances on board of a vessel
6. Basic First Aid
