Visit Shanghai Maritime University

We welcomed Prof. dr. Qiang Zhang and PhD student Zekun Zhang from @Shanghai Maritime University, China. Our visitors took time out from the SIGA 2 Conference at @University of Antwerp to spend a morning at AMA. Following an insightful presentation on SMU’s role in the EU-funded Pioneers Project (Portable Innovation Open Network for Efficiency and Emissions Reduction Solutions) and additional SMU research, discussions revolved around topics common to both AMA and SMU. We share research interests in #sustainability #greenports #climateandenergy #environmentalcare #alternativefuels amongst others. Finally, the conversation moved on to developments @International Maritime Lecturers Association IMLA, of which @Alison Noble is Chair. Thanks also to colleagues at MISSIMLab for a tour of AMA’s impressive simulators.
