Operations executive
Together with the General Manager of Antwerp Towage, you are responsible for the local operational affairs and represent Antwerp Towage locally. You will closely liaise with all departments of Fairplay (Hamburg) and Multraship (Terneuzen). Your responsibilities include overseeing all operational activities from the nautical chain and operational matters to ensure that "AT" is able to perform up to standard in both local sales and operational activities. This includes organising the daily availability of tugs and maintaining contact with local clients and agencies. Additionally, it also involves various administrative tasks.
To summarise:
* Closely liaise with local shipping agents in the region for smooth coordination.
* Work closely with the dispatchers.
* Optimise and coordinate vessel employability when required.
* Follow up commercial contacts with local and international customers.
* Prepare commercial offers to customers/agents, if required.
* Liaising with local customers and building up business relations.
* Visiting the tugs on a regular basis.
One of your tasks will be to explore new business with the management in and around Antwerp. Therefore, previous experience in projects, inland towage, and all kinds of waterside activities would be an advantage.
Your profile:
* You have completed a bachelor's degree in shipping or logistics and have reasonable working experience in the maritime world or shipping business, with a preference for Antwerp.
* You should be an all-rounder with administrational, operational, commercial and relation management skills.
* Fluency in Dutch and English is required. French/German language skills would be an advantage.
